As a pivotal member of the GFG-Alliance team, the Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment across the Regional Service Centre Network. Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Lead, this position focuses on both preventative maintenance and immediate breakdown support, prioritizing safety and maximizing equipment uptime.
In this role, you will tackle operational and technical challenges related to equipment, minimizing disruptions in processing through effective collaboration with in-house trades and external contractors. Your communication skills will be essential as you liaise with operations teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of breakdowns. As the subject matter expert, you will conduct thorough preventative maintenance inspections and provide actionable feedback to site leaders.
This position requires travel throughout the state, supporting multiple sites. You will be equipped with a phone, laptop, and vehicle to facilitate your responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and organizing daily maintenance schedules for corrective actions and minor projects using the MAINPAC Job request system.
- Collaborating with the Operations team and other stakeholders to implement technical, safety, and productivity improvements.
- Assisting the Queensland region with spare parts procurement and actively seeking cost-saving opportunities for international orders.
- Providing technical guidance and support to trades and contractors to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Overseeing tasks and managing contractors for high-risk activities within the region.
- Fostering a culture of safety, ensuring accountability for outcomes.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical fields, accompanied by at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar maintenance role.
- An unrestricted Driver's License.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (MAINPAC) is advantageous, along with experience in Power BI, CMMS, and ERP systems such as SAP, Symix, GE, and ARMA.
- A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, with the ability to enforce and promote adherence.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving.
