Key Communications Position

This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert advice and support on proactive and reactive stakeholder communications, media issues, events, projects, and activities within a Division.

We are seeking a skilled communicator who can work effectively with multiple stakeholders to promote the critical work of the Division and shape the community's understanding of its importance in educational outcomes.

As a key member of a management team, you will have the ability to obtain and maintain confidence and support from internal and external stakeholders by delivering professional, contemporary, accurate, and responsive communications and stakeholder engagement advice, strategy, and recommendations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing corporate communications and engagement strategies to enhance and protect the reputation of stakeholders and the public.
  • Providing internal consultancy and communications advice to executive members and teams to ensure consistency of key messages are produced and delivered in a format, style, and tone appropriate to the situation and audience.
  • Working under tight deadlines and within limited resources, you will be comfortable in providing exceptional stakeholder support and promoting the critical work of the Division through various communication channels.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills and demonstrated experience in crafting media and corporate communications, event management, and dealing with requests for information.
  • Ability to form strong, productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing corporate communications and engagement strategies.
