About this role

This is a high-level position that oversees the delivery of software products. We are looking for an experienced professional who can manage the outsourcing practice and provide ongoing management of this function in alignment with project goals and processes.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to advise on best practices, and participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors.
  • They will establish processes that enable seamless integration of work with other teams, provide guidance on change management or education around effective use of outsourced vendors.
  • Identify project scope, coordinate with stakeholders to identify goals, timeframe, and budget.
  • Develop project plans including goals, identification of risks, budget, resource requirements, and communicate goals with the team.
  • Manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, report on project updates and articulate ROI on outsourcing activities to senior leadership.
  • Identify, track, and resolve all project risks and issues pertaining to software.
  • Evaluate KPIs with outsourced organizations and work with leadership teams to meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Provide training in workflows and projects, problem-solve with the outsourced team to resolve issues with KPIs, deadlines, processes, outcomes, turnover, etc.
  • Hold regular meetings with the outsourced team to ensure clear lines of communication and early issue resolution.
  • Collaborate across teams to achieve common goals.
  • Prepare and participate in requirements and design review meetings.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure all relevant documentation is provided and updated as part of our quality management system practice and process.

It is anticipated that 1-2 overseas trips per year will be needed for this role to meet with the outsourced teams.
