Our building services team is currently seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Designer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed electrical building services documentation to a high level.
  • Set up and manage projects throughout the life of the project.
  • Undertake the role of lead REVIT co-ordinator for small to large projects, managing all aspects of the project including liaising with the Architect, setting up ACOR models and sheets, managing/updating files on BIM360, disseminating information to the ACOR modelling team, undertaking clash detection and co-ordination, document control, etc.
  • Review and audit BIM models.
  • Assist the Electrical design team with design appropriate tasks, including NCC calculations, lighting layouts, schematics, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in BIM project delivery and associated design and collaboration tools, including but not limited to Revit, Autocad, BIM360, etc.
  • Experience in managing a project, including managing the modelling team and external parties.
  • Experience with Revit family editing, advanced modelling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • A relevant technical qualification in electrical design would be an advantage.
  • As ACOR undertakes a variety of government projects, Australian citizenship would be an advantage.
