Job Title: Piano Accompanist and Tutor

Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with over 1,700 students.

We are seeking a skilled Piano Accompanist and Tutor to accompany solo instrumentalists, choirs, and ensembles, as well as provide private piano tutoring for students.

The successful applicant will:

  • Teach private students to prepare them for recitals, competitions, and exams by providing personalized instruction and feedback.
  • Accompany ensembles and instrumental students from beginner to advanced levels, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist at concerts, recitals, and music camps as requested, ensuring seamless event execution.

Applicants must be committed to the school's Statement of Faith and able to provide a positive example to students and staff members.

They should also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to create an engaging teaching atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students, promoting their musical growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other music teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a piano accompanist and tutor, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
