Job Summary

A seasoned electrician is sought to join our team in Brisbane, where they will oversee maintenance of advanced food processing and packaging machinery. They will work closely with the maintenance and QA teams, focusing on electrical upkeep and troubleshooting.

This role requires a proactive individual who can promptly identify and resolve electrical issues across various production equipment. They will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to minimize downtime
  • Conducting regular maintenance checks to prevent electrical system failures
  • Troubleshooting PLCs, VSDs, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, and servo drives/motors
  • Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and commissioning
  • Ensuring all work meets WHS and food safety standards through regular inspections and documentation
  • Maintaining effective communication with maintenance and production teams to improve processes and efficiency

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current Australian Electrical Licence (QLD Electrical Mechanic / Fitter Licence), or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Strong experience in industrial or maintenance electrical work, preferably in FMCG or food production environments
  • Proficiency in PLC fault-finding, VSDs, and motor control systems
  • Ability to adapt to working in production and cold room environments (3°C to 10°C)
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality standards (HACCP, GMP), and accurate documentation
