Overview

EBR is searching for a skilled Environmental Hazard Specialist to join our team. As an innovator, collaborator, and game changer, you will be responsible for accelerating your career through challenging yet rewarding work.

Your Opportunity

This role involves conducting asbestos and hazardous materials surveys, producing quality reports based on your findings, and managing projects with excellent client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting asbestos and hazardous materials surveys to identify potential environmental hazards;
  • Producing high-quality reports that detail your findings and provide recommendations for mitigation or remediation;
  • Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations;
  • Liaising with clients to understand their needs and providing updates on project progress;
  • Working closely with other consultants to contribute to client projects and achieve shared goals;

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably as a consultant;
  • Proven experience in asbestos and hazmat surveying, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines;
  • Ability to work independently in the field, with occasional travel required;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and can-do approach;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as environmental science or health and safety;
  • An asbestos certificate is highly regarded, but not essential;
