We are seeking a skilled Cable Jointer to join our client's dynamic team, working on key projects in the electrical and utilities sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading professionals, ensuring the safe and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical cables in a variety of settings.

About the Role & Client

Our client is a leading company within the energy and utilities industry, known for delivering high-quality electrical solutions across Australia. As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for joining and terminating power cables, performing testing, fault finding, and repairs on LV and HV cables. You will work both independently and as part of a dedicated team, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This is a full-time position with overtime on offer. Australian electrician license is preferred but not essential.

  • Proven experience with LV, HV, EHV and MV cables
  • Previous experience with cable joining
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work in both outdoor and indoor environments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team player and communicator

  • Joining tools + PPE – (PPE can be provided) – Essential
  • Australia Electrical license – advantageous
  • Cer 3 in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Cable Jointing – advantageous
  • Cable Jointing LV, MV, HV – advantageous
  • First aid & CPR – advantageous
  • EWP – advantageous
  • Confined space – advantageous
