Job Summary

This is a senior-level role in the Industrial Relations team, focusing on delivering a next-generation payroll system. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance and driving effective remediation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw on substantial expertise in Industrial Relations to interpret complex Enterprise Agreements and drive compliance measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal and Project Management, to clarify and action compliance requirements.
  • Design comprehensive testing regimes and review processes to ensure the payroll platform meets current obligations and is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and documenting outcomes to contribute to the integrity and success of the new system.
  • Provide commitment to best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Experience engaging with Unions and a strong understanding of union priorities and practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in Employee/Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related discipline.
