Café Supervisor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at Modbury Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a high-performing team of hospitality staff.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our café, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and food quality is maintained. You will have the ability to motivate and lead a team, handle cash handling duties, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage the café staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management
  • To ensure that customer service standards are met, and customers receive a positive experience
  • To maintain accurate records, including sales data, inventory levels, and staff hours worked
  • To identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
  • To work collaboratively with other teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a busy food environment, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Experience as a barista or similar role is desirable
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, and handle conflict resolution situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
