Community Engagement Officer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Engagement Officer to assist with Parliamentary duties and community engagement in the Mount Ommaney electorate office.

  • Liaise with constituents who contact the office for information and assistance.
  • Support and engage with community groups, local businesses, and establish relationships.
  • Manage and maintain the Member's diary.
  • Meet legislative requirements and Parliamentary Service policy and procedure.
  • Compile and publish newsletter/surveys.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various clients and stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Government/Public sector functions and processes.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
  • Previous experience in an electorate office, community support, customer service, or government role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use and manage PC software.
Key Requirements
  • Casual position based in the Mount Ommaney electorate office.
  • Hours available will generally be between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
