Sample Preparation Technician Role

This Sample Preparation Technician position entails performing manual handling tasks to prepare large physical coal samples for testing. In addition, you will be involved in simulating coal production processes to evaluate the properties of coal samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare large physical coal samples for examination
  • Simulate coal production processes to test sample characteristics
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks
  • Certificate III or IV in Laboratory skills (Preferred but not required)
  • Previous laboratory or sample preparation experience in any field
  • Methodical approach to work and ability to organize tasks effectively
  • Capacity to pass a medical examination
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
