We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our project team in Sydney.

About the Role

This role involves improving existing functionality and performance, as well as designing and building new features.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Design and develop current systems to increase functionality and usability.
  • Build features and improvements from conceptualisation to realisation, working closely with the software engineering team.
  • Build automated tests for the REST API.
  • Take operational responsibility for the services and code base developed.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least five years of experience in software development.
  • Mandatory experience building REST APIs with Golang.
  • Highly regarded is experience working with modern TypeScript framework and React.
Core Skills
  • Building REST APIs with Golang.
  • Working with modern TypeScript framework and React.
  • Experience with web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.

You must be a lifelong learner, continuously learning and keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise. You should be experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools, comfortable running software in Linux environments, and familiar with sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming, and automated testing.
