About this role

This position is part of a close-knit team working on an afternoon shift at a steel manufacturing and distribution site. The team is highly safety-focused, taking pride in delivering high-quality products to customers.

Main duties:

2. Use specialized CNC production machinery and cranes to process steel products into custom lengths for fabrication in major projects (full training provided)
3. Utilize computer-based production tracking software to ensure the production plan is followed and correct product is produced
4. Assist with general warehousing duties when machinery is not running to maximum efficiency within the workplace
5. Take ownership of machine performance, including output, downtime, quality, and housekeeping
6. Train to master operating steel processing machinery
7. Champion safety procedures to the highest standard
8. Involvement in process improvement initiatives

Shift hours: 2.00PM-10.00PM

Hourly wage: $28 per hour

2. Experienced Operator/Store person or someone willing to learn
3. Manufacturing, logistics, or construction industry experience ideal
4. Forklift license or crane experience highly regarded but not essential
5. A continuous learning and can-do mindset
