Remittance and Financial Transactions Officer

We are looking for a skilled Remittance and Certificates Officer to join our team at Campbelltown City Council.
About the role:
This permanent full-time position is responsible for processing external agency payment files, cheque, direct debit and credit card payments for all Council business. Generate section certificates and assist with rates and debtor enquiries and pensioner rebate applications. The successful candidate will process external agency payment files, cheque, direct debit and credit card payments for rates, childcare fees and other sundry debtors.
Key responsibilities:
- Process external agency payment files, cheque, direct debit and credit card payments for rates, childcare fees and other sundry debtors.
- Generate section certificates and assist with rates and debtor enquiries and pensioner rebate applications.
- High level of demonstrated competency in data entry.
- End to end processing of Section rating certificates.
- Understanding of rate policies and procedures.
- High level customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Relevant qualifications and/or relevant job related experience in a similar role.
- Well-developed knowledge of a Property and Rating system.
- Ability to work as an effective and cooperative team member.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.
- Assist ratepayers to complete Pensioner Concession Rebate forms.
