Role Overview
This is a standout opportunity for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our client as a Field Service Diesel Fitter in the infrastructure and mining industry.
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong mechanical skills to support underground mines in Tasmania. As a Field Service Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment operating in underground hard rock mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
- Attending to breakdowns and ensuring minimal downtime
- Working collaboratively with a team of experienced mechanics
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Mechanical Qualification
- Strong experience working in a workshop-based or field service environment maintaining heavy equipment operating in UG hard rock mining
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attitude towards work and safety
