We are seeking a talented software engineer to join our operational team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software solutions using Python, with a strong focus on test-driven development. The role involves collaborating with other technical teams and working with data visualisation interfaces built using SQL and packaged using Python.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a programme to improve AEMO tools for managing low demand/high DER periods. The ideal candidate will have significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems and a strong background in quantitative analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software solutions using Python and test-driven development methodologies
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver data visualisation interfaces
  • Contribute to the improvement of AEMO tools for managing low demand/high DER periods
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in software development or the energy industry
  • Significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including problem solving, modelling, and critical thinking
Tech Stack:
  • Core tools: Python | SQL | Azure
  • Growth areas: Typescript | Vue | Grafana | Databricks
