Primary School Teacher Position

The role of the classroom teacher is to plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes. This position involves direct teaching of groups of students and individual students, as well as contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school.
Responsibilities:
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
- Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
- Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Requirements:
- Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant State Institute;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills;
- Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs;
- Highly developed planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community;
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school environment.
