We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Microsoft. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation by leveraging data insights to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret complex data patterns and trends to inform business decisions.
- Reporting and Visualization: Design and develop data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Data Engineering: Collaborate with data engineers to transform raw data and develop predictive models.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, leadership, and other departments to drive business outcomes.
- Data Strategy: Contribute to the development of data strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Knowledge Sharing: Promote data literacy across the organization and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL, with experience in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Start-up Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a focus on innovation and experimentation.
- Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
