We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef/Cook to join our team at Busy Bees Lara, a 103-place service located 15 minutes from the Avalon Domestic terminal. Our service offers a warm and nurturing learning environment and inspiring learning opportunities for children aged birth to 5 years.
The successful candidate will have the ability to cater for children with all dietary requirements and will be committed to food safety, hygiene protocols, and budget management when ordering food and supplies. They will also be knowledgeable in preparing culturally diverse meals that enrich children's learning experiences.

Essential Qualifications and Licences:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent culinary qualifications or experience)
- A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Current and valid Australian Work Rights
Desirable skills, experience and knowledge:
- Skilled in preparing balanced, nutritious meals that meet young children's developmental needs and dietary guidelines
- Experienced in creating rotating menus catering to diverse needs, including allergies and specific dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, halal)
- Committed to food safety, hygiene protocols, and budget management when ordering food and supplies
- Knowledgeable in preparing culturally diverse meals that enrich children's learning experiences
- Familiar with sustainable food practices, including waste reduction and sourcing local ingredients
