About the Role:
The Food Services Assistant will contribute to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Food Safety Program; and provision of quality food and beverages to meet the residents' individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning: Assist in planning menus to meet residents' needs and preferences.
- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare, present, and deliver food and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure general cleaning is performed in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
- Monitoring and Recording: Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program, including temperature recordings and receipting goods.
- Meal Delivery: Ensure timely and friendly delivery of meals and refreshments to all residents.
- Reporting: Report any concerns or difficulties experienced with care recipients in relation to food and beverages to the Registered Nurse In Charge.
Requirements:
- Food Handling Certificate: Possession of a current Food Handling Certificate.
- Criminal History Check: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Experience: Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
