Kitchen Support Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team in a childcare setting.
The successful applicant will work alongside a Cook, maintaining general kitchen operations within our food safety plan. This includes cleaning, dishes, stock rotation, storing food, and assisting the Cook in food preparation and basic cooking.
The ideal candidate will also assist in delivering operational service and quality to children and families while supporting other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Assist with food preparation and cooking
- Perform tasks related to kitchen operations, such as cleaning and stock rotation
- Work collaboratively with the Cook and other team members to deliver high-quality service
Requirements:
- Approved Food Handling/Food Safety Certificates
- Approximately 1 year of experience working in a kitchen setting, including allergy awareness
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Ability to interact and engage with children and families
- Experience working as part of a team and a positive attitude
- Professional attitude and attention to detail
