Senior Digital Preservation Professional

We seek a highly skilled Senior Digital Preservation Specialist to support the creation of policies and an overarching framework for digital preservation. This individual will be responsible for creating, operationalising, and monitoring digital preservation standard operating procedures, as well as developing a robust, scalable, and stable mechanism for the long-term safekeeping of digital collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a comprehensive digital preservation strategy and relevant policies.
- Operationalise and oversee the use of the FRED forensic data workstation to ensure maximum benefit.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures that incorporate innovative solutions for the long-term safekeeping of digital assets.
About You:
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of system integration principles, scripting languages, and familiarity with standard file formats used for digital data and metadata standards. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are preferred.
