About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our Regulatory and Complex Disputes unit as a Senior Lawyer.

The ideal candidate will provide specialist legal advice in areas of expertise relevant to the RCD unit and Workplace and Education Law branch, including managing complex litigation and briefing external firms.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and skilled lawyer to further progress their career by working in a dynamic and challenging legal environment.

The role involves:

  • Managing complex litigated cases involving applications to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal's (VCAT) review jurisdiction, as well as Magistrates' Court and other litigation.
  • Providing specialist legal advice in areas of expertise relevant to the RCD unit and Workplace and Education Law branch.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong background in law with experience in regulatory and complex disputes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a fixed-term position until June 2027.
