About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a prestigious residential tertiary college in Parkville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our clients and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and beverage services
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and students
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with our events team to deliver exceptional events and functions
- Manage kitchen budgets and inventory to ensure cost control and efficiency
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in culinary operations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar environment
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality food and beverage services
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
