Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking skilled and passionate Support Workers to join our team in a residential setting. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with complex disabilities.

About the Role:

The Support Worker role involves providing support and assistance to clients with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication management. You will work closely with the client to develop personalized plans that meet their needs and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
  • Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Managing medications and ensuring timely administration
  • Offering non-verbal supports and assistance to individuals who require it
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and support

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a residential setting
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Screening Check, First Aid, and CPR certifications
  • Unlimited working rights and full COVID-19 vaccination
