Infrastructure Engineer

As a key member of our Civil and Highways Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of infrastructure projects across Australia.
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with utility authorities to obtain inputs for design, protection, and relocation requirements, as well as managing subcontractors such as Water Service Coordinators (WSC) and Electrical designers (ASP3).
Key Responsibilities- Utilize Civil 3D or 12D software to provide 3D modeling, coordination, and clash detection of utilities in appropriate 3D software;
- Identify utility impacts resulting from civil/structural designs and resolve clashes and spaceproof design relocations;
- Coordinate with utility authorities to obtain inputs for design, protection, and relocation requirements and approvals;
- Manage subcontractors such as Water Service Coordinators (WSC) and Electrical designers (ASP3);
- Review design documents and ensure compliance with project components, including drawings, reports, specifications, and interfaces with other disciplines;
- Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design;
- Liaise with the Project Manager and client to keep them informed of all developments associated with the project;
- Provide leadership and technical advice to project team members;
- Manage design development, quality assurance, and client feedback, ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications;
- Provide direction to the project team, leading by example to achieve sector goals and championing a quality, innovative, client-focused, and entrepreneurial culture.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in engineering with professional accreditation;
- Demonstrated years of relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project and applying standards and technical knowledge;
- Demonstrated experience in managing utility approval processes for major utility relocation and protection designs on infrastructure projects;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating, and delegation skills;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally;
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design and/or project teams.
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
