Information Security Expert

The role plays a pivotal part in the information security team, ensuring the business adheres to and enhances its cyber security practice for a secure future.

In this position, you will be an integral member of an internal team of Information Security consultants, ensuring the business, projects, processes, etc. adhere to the ISMS, relevant security standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and advice to technical teams on information security standards, policies, regulations, etc.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure security is integrated into new solutions from the outset.
  • Identify relevant security risks within the business and assist in formulating strategies to address these.
  • Be part of the development and implementation of information security policies, procedures, and standards within the business.
  • Conduct risk assessments as required (internal and 3rd party).
  • Advocate for cyber security education and best practice across the business.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of information security principles, standards, e.g. ISO 27001, NIST-CSF, etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge/understanding (e.g. cloud security) and ability to advise technical teams when required.
  • Ability to contextualise risks to stakeholders and influence their decisions in a security-first manner.
  • Minimum approx. 4+ years in information security.
