Job Title: Hospitality Operations Manager

About the Role:

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity for a skilled hospitality professional to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

Key responsibilities include supervising and providing leadership to the Food & Beverage Team, driving productivity, motivation, and development of all Food & Beverage Team Members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.

You will also be responsible for assisting with staff training and development, overseeing monthly stocktakes, maintaining accurate inventory records for cost control, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.

  • Supervise and Provide Leadership: Directly supervise and provide leadership to the Food & Beverage Team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Drive Productivity and Motivation: Develop and implement strategies to drive productivity, motivation, and development of all Food & Beverage Team Members.
  • Staff Training and Development: Assist with staff training and development programs to ensure our team members have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records for cost control.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations by actively participating in the development of policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a supervisor capacity within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, inventory control, rostering, and budgeting.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in food safety and hygiene are a plus.
Working Arrangements:

We offer a rotating seven-day schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and both early and late shifts. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights.

Please note that a current TAS RSA Certificate is a requirement for this role.
