Job Summary

Amicus Legal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Lawyer or Associate to join their growing Litigation & Disputes team. As a key member of the team, you will work alongside experienced mentors, handling complex commercial disputes, including property, partnership, contract, and insolvency matters, as well as shareholder disputes, Australian Consumer Law breaches, lease disputes, professional negligence, and insurance litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on and manage complex commercial disputes, including insolvency and property matters
  • Handle a diverse range of litigation matters, including contract and partnership disputes
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, affidavits, and submissions, to support complex cases
  • Appear in court and instruct counsel to represent the company's interests
  • Collaborate with partners on complex cases across various industries, including finance and real estate

Requirements

  • 3-4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, including insolvency and commercial disputes
  • Strong understanding of commercial disputes, including contract and property law
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills to effectively manage complex cases
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to achieve business objectives
  • Strong client relationship management skills to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Admitted to practice in Victoria
