Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

Are you a motivated and experienced retail professional looking for a challenging role? We're seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Kmart Leongatha.

About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth. You will work closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve store performance and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Implement and maintain store visual merchandising standards and product displays
  • Manage store operations, including stock management, inventory control, and cash handling
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of store business plans and strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a big-box or high-volume retail environment
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results and achieving business objectives
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, inventory control, and cash handling
