Road Safety Engagement Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Road Safety Engagement Specialist to play a pivotal role in promoting road safety education and interventions across various learning stages. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with school communities, including leaders, teachers, students, and parents, to enhance their understanding and capacity to embed effective road safety policies and practices in school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Collaborate with schools to implement the Whole of School Community Model, researching, identifying, and supporting co-design activities that foster safe systems thinking and community engagement.
- Develop Capability: Explore and improve knowledge and practice of safe systems thinking and its embedding in school communities.
- Strong Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Specialist Advice: Provide timely, high-quality advice on strategic, tactical, and operational aspects of road safety education.
- Partnering and Co-Creation: Work collaboratively with school communities to engage young people as beneficiaries of road safety education, focusing on co-creation and partnership-building.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require strong project management skills, stakeholder management expertise, and the ability to navigate change effectively. Experience working in a school-based setting, designing and delivering school-based programs, and curriculum development is also essential.
