Airborne Solutions Australia provides comprehensive aerial surveillance services under contract to the Australian Border Force, operating as the largest civil maritime surveillance operation globally. The company also offers a search-and-rescue capability across nearly 10 percent of the earth's surface under Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) B2 or dual licensed professional to join our Engineering team in Broome, Australia. This role offers a lifestyle-balanced roster of 6 days on, 6 days off, and a remote allowance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and certifying aircraft maintenance on behalf of Airborne Solutions Australia Engineering. Key duties include:

  • Conducting daily activities with safety as a core value, contributing to a zero-harm environment through active participation in relevant safety programs;
  • Performing duties as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, ensuring all aircraft maintenance is carried out in line with the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), procedures manuals, and CAMO requirements;
  • Planning, distributing, and overseeing scheduled maintenance, including complex tasks certified by an authorized Certifying Employee;
  • Supervising maintenance personnel and supporting apprentices when required;
  • Ensuring maintenance records are completed and certified correctly prior to CRS issue;
  • Maintaining compliance with FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.

This role reports directly to the Senior Base Engineer and requires experience in heavy and line maintenance. Essential qualifications include holding a LAME B2 or dual license, and being able to attend a DHC8 Classic Type course if not already held.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A LAME B2 or dual license;
  • Heavy and line maintenance experience;
  • Able to attend a DHC8 Classic Type course if not already held;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
