Job Summary

This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) with a competitive salary package of $73,000 - $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in control systems and electronic equipment, installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and pneumatic control systems on industrial machinery, and conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in control systems and electronic equipment to ensure timely and accurate problem resolution.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electronic and pneumatic control systems on industrial machinery, including food and beverage equipment, heavy industrial machinery, mining equipment, and hazardous area installations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on control systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineering, electrical, and operations teams to ensure optimal performance and integration of control systems.
  • Test and commission new installations and upgrades of control systems.
  • Maintain detailed service records and reports of all work completed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on system efficiency.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards in all work environments.
  • Provide expert technical support and service to clients, including on-site visits for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and offering training on the proper use and maintenance of electronic equipment to maximize system reliability.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in a closely related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
