Veterinary Nurse Lead
Job Description:
Our veterinary hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Nurse Lead to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and mentoring junior nurses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, including preparing patients for surgery, administering medication, and communicating with clients on their pet's progress
- Assist with consultations and provide support to veterinarians during medical procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict infection control protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and teamwork
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience as a veterinary nurse, with a preference for lead/supervisory experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality
