We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Mental Health Nurse to join our team at GEO Healthcare. As a Primary Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary mental health nursing services to individuals in a correctional setting
- Undertake at-risk assessments and develop treatment plans to support individuals at risk of self-harm or suicide
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records
- Participate in clinical handover meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
- Professional qualifications in mental health nursing
- Minimum 12 months experience working in mental health over the previous 3 years
- Ability to work unsupervised in a correctional setting
- Valid Australian driver's license
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
