Job Description

As a Datacenter Infrastructure Support Specialist, you will work with the world's largest computing infrastructure. Your work involves some periods of independence from your team. You will learn the daily operations of a large data center, working and troubleshooting hands-on with servers and network equipment.

You will interact with other teams like logistics, networking, and security to get the job done. There is never a dull moment as each day presents different challenges. Work with multiple teams (DC operations, DC Engineering, Logistics, Security, and Projects).Data Center Operations designs, installs, and maintains the world's largest Computing Infrastructure. Our scope of work includes systems repair, dealing with issues, handling and tracking parts, and assisting in Data Center maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problems.
  • Perform basic level OS troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting.
  • Perform replacement of parts and devices.
  • Perform storage media (HDD, SSD, etc.) sanitization and destruction tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets efficiently.
  • Follow DC operations, Logistics, Security, and Safety related processes and guidelines.
  • Practice and enforce Amazon's Security and Safety best practices.
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma at University or TAFE.
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configurations.
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience and/or knowledge.
  • This position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.
  • Linux knowledge, Networking knowledge, and passion for IT infrastructure and hardware.
