Role Overview

Aurecon, a global consulting company dedicated to innovation and sustainability, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its Industrial EI&C team in Sydney.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your technical expertise and passion for problem-solving to contribute to cutting-edge projects that drive carbon neutrality and sustainability in industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects, ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules.
  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1, and AS/NZS 2067.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, discipline engineers, and designers to support project deliverables, applying effective communication skills both written and verbal.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience working on industrial projects, delivering process plant projects, energy sector, water sector, or mining projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of 'in-plant' electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy and industrial communications systems.
  • Experience across all project development phases, including concept, FEED, and detail design.
