We are seeking a professional to join our dynamic team as a Medical Receptionist/ Administrator. The ideal candidate will have minimum of one to two years' experience in healthcare and exceptional phone manner, excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.

As a Medical Receptionist/ Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will make and manage patient appointments, collect patient information, maintain patient privacy and accurate data entry, complete cardiology related administration including document scanning, manage patient telephone enquiries, billing and receipting of accounts to patients, Medicare and DVA, and liaise with Specialists, Nurses, Cardiac Physiologists and peers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acting as the first point of contact and greeting patients on arrival.
  • Making and managing patient appointments for numerous Specialists across multiple sites.
  • Collecting patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry.
  • Completing cardiology related administration including document scanning.
  • Managing a large volume of patient telephone enquiries.
  • Billing and receipting of accounts to patients, Medicare and DVA.
  • Liaising with Specialists, Nurses, Cardiac Physiologists and peers.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of one to two years' experience in healthcare.
  • Exceptional phone manner, excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work autonomously and complete work within tight time frames.
  • Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills with the ability to work as an effective team member with flexibility to respond to fluctuating work flows.
  • Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts across sites.
