Job Description

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join the Cybersecurity team.

This mission-critical role involves protecting Australia's financial system from evolving cyber threats through proactive, risk-based, and intelligence-driven operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats before they materialise.
  • Ensure readiness through regular tabletops, playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct threat hunting activity, Incident response, and investigations end-to-end.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to wide audiences.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis.
  • DevSecOps and Zero-trust methodologies.
  • Intrusion and detection engineering, web application security.
  • Experience with bug bounty programmes.
  • Cloud based Microsoft Security Products.
  • SIEM, UEBA, DLP, and related experience.
