Job Overview

Construction lawyers play a pivotal role in major project development, providing expert advice on project structures, contract negotiation and drafting.

We seek an experienced construction lawyer to provide project advice to developer clients and large asset owners on commercial, retail, industrial and institutional property development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project advice on commercial, retail, industrial and institutional property development.
  • Prepare consultancy agreements, project term sheets, letters of intent, early works agreements, ECI and EPC contracts, tender contract documentation, and ancillary agreements.
  • Advise contractors and subcontractors on tender submissions and construction contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with planning legislation.
  • Assist the litigation team in tribunals involving issues such as security and retention, variation and contract payment claims and defects.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction obligations supporting major development projects.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating various construction and infrastructure agreements.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
