**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and mentor the assembly team to ensure successful and timely completion of trailer fit-outs.
  • Provide direction and support to tradespeople, trade assistants, and apprentices.
  • Manage and prioritize workflows to meet production targets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Address and mediate concerns related to jobs or staffing.
  • Assemble, service, and repair road transport equipment to meet the client's high-quality standards.
  • Follow established systems and procedures, completing all necessary paperwork and checklists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, etc.) to resolve assembly-related issues.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical/assembly work.
  • Proven leadership experience and training.
  • Expertise in Heavy-Duty Road Transport manufacturing, including knowledge of hydraulics, PTO systems, air braking systems, ABS/EBS, and trailer electrical/lighting systems.
  • HR Driver's License (desirable).
  • Current LF (forklift) license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Methodical and organized with a focus on quality and safety.
