Job Opportunity

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Gearing Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gearing design and experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design custom gearing and enclosed gear units
  • Perform dimensional layouts
  • Perform gear geometry and gear rating calculations
  • Perform bearing life calculations
  • Utilize AutoCad and ProE software
  • Prepare drawings and bill of materials (BOMs) for the shop
  • Reverse engineer gearboxes for rebuilds
  • Interface with customers and sales staff on product designs
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-year mechanical engineering degree
  • Ability to utilize CAD (2D & 3D)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years' experience in design
  • Experience in gear design, geometric tolerance, gearbox rebuilds, and bearing life calculations
