Becoming a tradesperson in the electrical field is a well-regarded and challenging career pathway.

You will work closely with our team, undertaking a range of duties including residential installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, caballing and wiring, and diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions.

What can you gain from this apprenticeship?
  • You would be employed by us, the largest employer of apprentices and trainees, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
  • You would be part of a committed team, under guidance of our business owner.
  • Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE.
  • Our Work and Training Field Officer provides ongoing mentoring and employment support.

On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

  • Motivation and a genuine interest in the industry?
  • High level communication, customer service and organisational skills?
  • The ability to work in a team environment and follow complex instructions?
  • A positive attitude and self-motivation to learn on-the-job as an apprentice?
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with hand tools?
Essential criteria:
  • Current drivers licence and reliable transport to get to and from work
  • White Card and Working with Vulnerable People (or ability to gain one)
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and WHS requirements
Job benefits:

National Apprenticeship Award Wage.

A pre-vocational course in electrotechnology is highly desired. You must undertake a pre-employment medical, including vision and drug & alcohol testing, as a requirement of this position.
