Job Summary:

This position is a key role within our mine operations team, responsible for overseeing all production activities and personnel. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with strong technical skills and the ability to coach and mentor staff.

About the Role:

  • As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mining activities are carried out safely and efficiently, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • You will lead a team of supervisors and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure that production targets are met.
  • You will also be responsible for managing leave requirements, conducting training gap analyses, and developing action plans for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of mine production, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and operators to achieve production targets.
  • Coach and mentor staff to improve their skills and performance.
  • Manage leave requirements and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.
  • WA 'HR' class drivers' licence (minimum).
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Front line management experience (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success as an effective leader.
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas.
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation relevant to the mining industry in WA.
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
