We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our hostel.

Job Summary
  • Prepare meals and dining areas for residents.
  • Manage stock, including receiving, rotating, and monitoring food and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide property security and ensure the safety of residents.
  • Attend to housekeeping duties, including upkeep of common rooms and grounds.
  • Monitor and authorise entry and exit of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Respond to emergencies when required.
Housekeeping Duties
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and linen, ensuring appropriate storage.
  • Regularly inspect rooms for repairs and maintenance needs and report issues to management.

A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the issues affecting First Nations peoples is essential.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team is crucial.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

  • Provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
  • Undergo, obtain and maintain a Satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
  • Meet Fitness for Duty requirements.
  • Hold and maintain NSW Working with Children Check.
