Open Space Maintenance Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our multi-disciplined team responsible for the maintenance of Council's open space, including sports fields and parks and gardens.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labouring duties and operate light plant and equipment
  • Maintain parks, prune, cut back vegetation, mow lawns, plant trees and flowers, clean up litter and operate a blower
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying better ways to carry out tasks
Critical Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high level of physical fitness with the ability to perform labouring duties and/or small plant operation in challenging conditions
  • The ability to work under general supervision and take direction
  • The ability to build and maintain good working relationships within a team environment
  • A valid QLD construction industry white/blue card
  • A current and maintained QLD C Class Drivers Licence
Desirable Skills:
  • Prior experience in Parks and Open Space maintenance
  • A valid QLD HR truck licence
