About the Role

This permanent full-time position typically works Monday to Friday and suits someone with factory and tool room experience. The role reports to a Production/Factory Manager and involves working in a brand new tool room with state-of-the-art machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building press tools and manufacturing equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of machinery
  • Attending machine breakdowns for prompt resolution
  • Repairing or replacing worn or broken tooling
  • Designing and creating custom fixtures, gauges, and other equipment

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in all areas of toolmaking, including press tools, machine maintenance, and tool servicing
  • Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, or Arc) and working with mild steel
  • Detailed knowledge of designing press and form tooling
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential
  • Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
