The role of a Critical Care Nurse is to deliver high-quality patient care in an intensive setting. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the nurse will coordinate and provide care that meets clinical standards.
The nurse will work in a 14-bed combined Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit, supported by a specialist team including a Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, and Clinical Nurse Educator.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in line with hospital policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication skills for seamless care delivery.
- Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance professional development.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using health information systems.
