Maintenance Project Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key figure in our Facilities, Fleet & Depot Stores department as a Lead Maintenance Specialist.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of maintenance professionals in delivering high-quality services across Council-owned and operated facilities.
- Supervise and support a team conducting minor maintenance activities and managing on-site reactive maintenance projects.
- Prioritise and assign maintenance tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Engage with internal staff, facility users, and external contractors to scope, schedule, and monitor works.
- Conduct in-field audits to ensure quality, compliance with regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with peers to create financial efficiencies and improve performance data tracking.
- Communicate effectively with facility users and stakeholders to minimise disruptions and resolve escalations.
We are seeking a Certificate-level qualification in building services, facility management, or a relevant trade/technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
A strong understanding of building systems, statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, WHS obligations, and maintenance standards and practices is essential.
Proficiency in Technology One or similar work order systems, a current Victorian Driver's Licence, Construction Induction (White) Card, and Working with Children Check are also required.
As a member of the Facilities Maintenance Services Unit within the City Operations Directorate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our built assets are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
